10 Healthy Eating Habits, Part 4
We were discussing the 10 good eating habits that can change your life. You won’t have to stay hungry during the whole day because of your calorie restriction diet, and you won’t have to spend all your free time at the gym.
Yet if you follow these simple rules, you will always be in a good shape.
8. Choose the best sweets.
I don’t think any of us can live without any sweets (though they don’t contain any nutritional vitamins and aren’t a must for our bodies). So if you can’t stop eating sweets, learn to eat them slowly, with pleasure. And always choose the best and the most expensive sweets you can afford (many candies and cakes can look very tasty, but choose only those that have not only an appealing look, but also a high price). If your candies are very expensive, you won’t eat much, and yet they will give you positive emotions. And besides, more expensive sweets are usually made of better products.
9. Be careful with “liquid calories.”
Most of us pay no attention to what we drink. But the truth is that we easily avoid hundreds of extra calories a day if we stop drinking sweet soda drinks, juices and alcohol. These drinks not only make us gain weight, but also are bad for our health. Better replace them with good tea (black or green — no big difference) or mineral water. You can sometimes drink juices, too, but make sure they don’t contain sugar.
10. Be careful with what you wish.
And last but not least — If you feel you want to eat something, wait five minutes. If your wish doesn’t go away during those five minutes, you can eat. But use a little plate and eat only one portion. Ah, and don’t forget about the other 9 rules, of course.
